This was my first ever shoot in the rain… and it was SO much fun! Working with this sweet family was great because they were so flexible and just happy to roll with the punches. We drove around the property to find some fun locations, including a cute little bridge, a stream, and some beautiful trees and grass. Little Caffrey turned 1 the day of the shoot, so it was an extra special time for me to hang out with these three! Such a great day. — at Daylesford Abbey.
We had a perfect morning with these two fantastic expectant parents. The grass was lush and green, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and this couple was just radiant with joy and excitement! They had a wonderful sense of humor and we had such a fun time shooting. I’m also pleased to announce the debut of my new 135mm lens! I felt like each shot was just coming out phenomenally (if I do say so myself 😉 ), and I just can’t wait until the little one arrives so I can do their newborn shoot!
I was so excited when mama Hillary contacted me and wanted a shoot for these cuties who are turning 2 and 4 this spring. I was even more excited when I found out we were going to go to Longwood Gardens where all the flowers are in full bloom for the season! These two kiddos had a great time running around and playing and were just generally lots of fun. Looking forward to my next Longwood shoot next week!
The day after photographing this sweet family in the fall, Taylor announced her 3rd pregnancy! I was thrilled when she requested a newborn shoot. And then little Val decided to show up a month early! At 4 lbs, 7 oz, she was the tiniest little person I’ve ever seen– and so sweet and cooperative too! Mommy Taylor had some really fun props we were able to incorporate, and we got the big kids involved too. Here are a few of my favorites from the day!
I was so excited when Taleen contacted me and wanted to do a photo shoot in downtown Philadelphia! They have been living in the city for quite some time now, and will be relocating to San Francisco soon. They wanted to make some memories in the city where they have their roots, and I was honored to oblige! This was my first urban shoot and it was so much fun to have such a variety of scenery to photograph! We did some photos in the park with the trees in the background, then mixed in some old city style photos with brick and stone pillars. These three were super friendly, photogenic, and fun, and it was such a pleasure working with them!
Rachel contacted me shortly before her due date to let me know I had been recommended by one of the local La Leche League leaders as a newborn photographer. I was thrilled to work with her and feel like she is a kindred spirit since she had a natural home birth, is interested in baby wearing and nursing, and is just generally awesome all around. I had so much fun with this shoot since Rachel had some really creative and cute ideas as well as some great props that I got to use! I’m thrilled with the variety of photos we were able to capture, and little Clara was so cooperative!
It’s been over two years in coming, but I finally have my first wedding under my belt! It was a perfect, cloudy spring afternoon (ideal for flattering photos, yay!), and I had the opportunity to visit Christel in her bridal suite as she got ready. We followed the hotel photos with a “first look” series when Stephen and Christel got to see each other for the first time. I was so honored to be there as they had their special moment and just loved capturing that time of joy on camera! The rest of the afternoon was fun and playful as the two of them spent time together in joyful excitement! It was so much and I just love how these photos turned out!
I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little girl and her family while going for a stroll in my neighborhood! She was a ripe old age of 4 days, and I just couldn’t believe how fantastic her mother looked so soon after delivery! I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful little lady in the natural light of her open Downingtown home, as well as meet some new neighbors. Amelia even has a big brother who is the same age as my daughter, so I’m sure there is plenty of fun to be had in the future with this little one!
